Is WalkCoins really free?+
Yes. Walking and earning coins is completely free. You never pay, deposit, or stake anything. Optional in-app purchases (like cosmetic boosts) exist but are never required to earn or redeem.
Is this real money? Can I withdraw to UPI?+
No — and that's deliberate. Coins are loyalty reward points with no monetary value. They redeem for mobile recharge and vouchers, not cash. There is no UPI or bank cash-out. This is what keeps WalkCoins honest, solvent, and fully legal in India.
Do you use my step or health data for ads?+
Never. Your step and activity data is used only to calculate your coins. It is firewalled from our advertising systems — not sold, not shared with data brokers, not used to target ads to you.
What happens to my steps if I'm offline or don't open the app?+
They're safe. WalkCoins reads your phone's own step history and captures counts offline, syncing them the next time you connect. You won't lose a day's steps by forgetting to open the app.
Do coins expire, and can the reward price change?+
Coins may expire after a long inactivity window (clearly shown in-app). The coin-to-reward rate is fixed and published — we will never raise the price of a reward on coins you've already earned.
Who can use WalkCoins?+
Users aged 18 and above, in India, to start. Age-gating and consent are built in to comply with India's data-protection rules.
